FREELANCE 2D/3D ANIMATOR

POSITION SUMMARY:
Aurora Films is seeking a Freelance 2D/3D Animator & Motion Graphics Designer who can complete 2D and 3D animated projects from concept to delivery. Video content includes but is not limited to: commercial corporate, B2B, B2C, product features, educational, and live entertainment support.
Ideal candidates are self-driven and can conceptualize powerful visual content with proficiency, creativity, and detail. Candidates should have an understanding of the full video production process from pre-production through post-production. They should be adaptable, resourceful, and must work well with others in a deadline-driven environment. Preferred candidates also have experience editing and compositing video in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with team members to effectively edit video content as outlined
Create and animate 2D characters and environments
Conceptualize design proofs for clients
Design and model 3D characters, environments, and products
Rigging 3D characters and products for animation
Lighting and texturing 3D characters, environments and products
Motion graphic creation in support of video edits
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Cinema4D (Minimum 3 years)
Adobe After Effects (Minimum 3 years)
Adobe Illustrator (Minimum 1 years)
Adobe Premiere Pro (Minimum 1 years)
Adobe Photoshop (Minimum 1 years)
3D modeling, animating, texturing, lighting, and rigging (Minimum 3 years)
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Proficiency in non-linear video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, 1+ year experience)
Motion tracking
Rotoscoping
Green and blue screen keying and compositing
An understanding of typography and aesthetically appealing graphics and images
Knowledge of best 2D and 3D rendering practices
Storyboarding experience and/or hand drawing
Familiarity with common video effects and plug-ins
Image parallaxing
CAD conversion
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Associate’s or Vocational degrees will be considered.
